It’s a fact. Mornings in my house are hectic. The alarm goes off and right away, there are kids to wake up, lunches to prep, coffee to perk and breakfast to eat. Though mornings may not always go as planned (!), I know things tend to go much smoother when I don’t have to think so much about what to eat before heading out the door. The best combo for me? A meal that’s convenient, energizing and tasty. With a little planning and prep, I’m ready to start my day off right!
When time is tight, I stick to this simple equation for a balanced breakfast to fuel my morning: low-fat dairy + fruit + belVita Breakfast Biscuits. One of my favorite combos is a simple stack of sliced tomato (DYK? botanically, tomatoes are a fruit), fresh mozzarella and basil on belVita Crunchy Golden Oat Breakfast Biscuits. I also love adding a hard-boiled egg for a little extra flavor and protein! (Time-saving tip: Slice up the cheese, tomatoes and hard-boiled egg the night before and store everything in the refrigerator.)
These biscuits are made with carefully selected grains and are gently baked to maintain and protect the inherent slow-release carbs(SRCs),and provide 4 hours of nutritious steady morning energy. Check these other nutrition highlights:
14-22g of whole grains per 50g serving
2-4g of fiber (contains 7-9g total fat)
Good source of B-vitamins and iron
Made with no high fructose corn syrup, and no artificial colors or flavors
Mornings can be hectic. The key is finding super simple hacks to take it in stride. Try this recipe out and let me know what you think!
